Pinkfresh Studio | Frame It Up
Hi Pinkfresh Studio friends!
As I am now a fully fledged Pinkfresh Studio design team member (I don't think I will ever get used to saying that), I thought I would design a card using the Pinkfresh Studio monthly challenge guidelines.
This month we are hitting the rewind button for the first challenge of the year by taking a look back at all the challenges shared in 2022. By entering your design, you have a chance to win a $50 shopping spree to the Pinkfresh Studio shop.
But hurry, you only have until January 31st to enter the challenge!
All you have to do is create a project using the challenge prompt as inspiration, then link it up. All types of papercrafting are eligible to win! Enter Here
So can you guess which month I chose? I gave it away in the title really, but yes, I chose March 2022 challenge-Frame It Up. Reason being, it's my birthday month!
For my design, I began by using the gorgeous Floral Border Hot Plate with Glimmer Hot Foil in Champagne. Then, I used the coordinating Stencils to add light colour. As Champagne is a soft gold I didn't want to overpower it with dark hues. Therefore, I chose the Pinkfresh Studio Dye Inks Ballet Slipper, Lemon Whip, Peach Fuzz, Ocean Breeze and Mint.
Dye inks dry pretty fast so I was able to die cut the Floral Frame out using the coordinating die. Look at the close up shot above...can you guess what I did with that large Sending Hugs sentiment? Well, I hot foiled that sentiment with black foil! The sentiment is from the timeless Perfect Sentiments Hot Foil Plate. It turned out so crisp and clean.
Using the newly released Nested Rectangles Hot Foil, I framed up the whole design. As a finishing touch I added a second sentiment from the Floral Border Stamp Set, Small Foil Butterflies Hot on vellum and newly released Champagne Glitter Drops.
I hope my card design has inspired you to join in the challenge this month!
Until next time, take care
Such a lovely soft color palate.
