Christmas Elegance

Hi crafty friends!

How are you enjoying all the wonderful seasonal inspiration so far? The August release by Pinkfresh Studio was jam packed with seasonal goodness and I just cannot help but make more Christmas cards.

Today, I am over on the Pinkfresh Studio blog sharing these two cards. They are the same card design but in two different colours and I think they are super elegant, which is why I have called my post Christmas Elegance.

That fabulous background was die cut using the new Snowflakes Coverplate Die and then matted over shiny champagne cardstock. That gold added just the right amount of colour to break up the white to define the snowflakes.

Then, I hot foiled in champagne, the Winter Berries Hot Foil Plate. I suppose you could foil in any colour you wish but I wanted it to be subtle and coordinate with the champagne cardstock.

Using the co-ordinating Winter Berries Die I cut out the hot foil plus more for layering up. I like dimension, and wanted the leaves and berries to pop up from the background just a little. I also popped the die cuts on foam dots.

Now I had two cards, both the same and all they needed was some colour and a sentiment. This is where you can personalize as you wish. For my cards I chose the Ruby Glitter Drops for one card and then the Lagoon Glitter Drops for the other. I glued the glitter drops randomly on some of the berries.

A fantastic sentiment stamp set was also released by Pinkfresh Studio in August and it's called Holiday Large Sentiments. It's fabulous! I heat embossed two different sentiments from the set and die cut them with the co-ordinating dies.

I then die cut extra layers in black cardstock which I glued together on the back of the stamped sentiment. If you haven't tried this technique yet, you should. The black cardstock really takes the sentiment to another level and really pops!

After placing the sentiment I matted the whole finished panel onto a 110lb top folding card base. Voila!

I think this card could be massed produced and completed in so many colours.

As usual with my Pinkfresh Studio blog posts, I made a reel that you can check out over on Instagram @pinkfreshstudio

Well, until next time friends, happy crafting!
