Built on Dreams-Two Ways

Hi everyone!

Today, I want to show you how you can take one Pinkfresh Studio stamp/stencil/die suite and, make cards for two different occasions. I pulled out the Built on Dreams set by Pinkfresh Studio and created a new home card and, a Christmas card. 

Using the Built on Dreams stencil, I ink blended a combination of dye inks-Sage/Spruce Tips/Lush Forest/Cherry Blossom/Begonia and Mulberry Blush. And, because Pinkfresh Studio have just released the best 1" Blending Brushes ever! I was able to use these for the wider area coverage. When adding some depth to smaller areas of the florals I used the 1/2" Blending Brushes.

After the stencilling, I heat embossed in gold the stamp outline of the house around each of the florals. When heat embossing after ink blending, you need to ensure your inks are totally dry otherwise it will attract the the embossing powder and you will get specks on your ink blending images. 

For the Christmas card, I pulled out a stencil from my stash that looked like snowfall, and pasted Snow-Tex over the top of the stencilled florals. This added so much texture and turned out really fun!

Then, I heat embossed the greeting from the newly released Holiday Greetings Sentiments stamp set 'From our House to Yours. 

For the new home card, I heat embossed the 'Home' that's part of the Built on Dreams stamp set. On both cards I placed the main sentiments in the middle after I had matted them on black card stock. The black cardstock is a handy trick as it helps sentiments pop off the busy backgrounds. 

To finish, I added some Ruby Glitter Drops on the Christmas card and Gold Metallic Pearls on the New Home card.
